Shivam & The Gypsies is a vibrant musical collective led by Shivam Bhardwaj, a versatile vocalist trained in North Indian Classical (Khayal and Dhrupad), Sufi, and contemporary music. Coming from a family of musicians, Shivam began his training under his father and is currently under the tutelage of Padmashri Ustad Wasifuddin Dagar, a renowned Dhrupad exponent.
Shivam has performed across India and internationally, earning prestigious scholarships, including the Sahitya Kala Parishad Scholarship and the Sangeet Natak Academy Scholarship. His remarkable career includes collaborations with legends such as A.R. Rahman (Ponniyin Selvan – 2) and Lucky Ali (MTV Unacademy Unwind). He also performed with Sting, lending his voice to the iconic song “Message in a Bottle.”
With Shivam & The Gypsies, the group creates a mesmerizing fusion of Gypsy Balkan Music with Indian classical and contemporary sounds, enhanced by an eclectic lineup of instruments:
