Shabarish’s journey into the world of music began at the age of 8 with the Mridangam, sparking his deep connection to Carnatic and classical music. Over time, his passion for rhythm led him to explore a wide range of percussion instruments, blending traditional sounds with his fascination for contemporary music. In the past four years, his love for the Handpan has become a defining feature of his musical expression.

An investment banker by profession, Shabarish balances his career with his passion for music. As a freelance percussionist, he has performed with renowned bands and artists, including Groovedarshan, Robusta Indica, Gaurav Chatterjee, Ananya Gaur, Aanchal Shrivastava, Kanishk Seth, and Band-chor. He also remains dedicated to his roots, continuing to play for Carnatic kutcheris.

Shabarish’s playing reflects his appreciation for diverse musical styles, seamlessly merging genres through his innovative grooves. Whether accompanying bands or performing solo, he creates a rhythmic foundation that captivates audiences, earning him a reputation as a one-man rhythm section.
